I guess my inner voice has been that of my Gram for a really long time, but I started to really hear it after she passed away. She had an amazing life. Lived to be 104! Always was pretty independent and was an amazing joke teller with a killer memory! Her name is Millie.

When I was thinking about what I’d like to do for a shop event in February (a month of love for some of the more sentimental of us out there) nothing had me enthusiastic.  Then, as I was home organizing my desk which is covered in jewelry (avoiding going outside due to Friday temps of -5!) I found these old photos of my family from the 60s and even earlier! So many of Millie looking like the bad ass she was! Memories and stories of her came flooding back!

And then it hit me…I have to have a party and tell you all about Millie! Showing love is what she did her entire life, and I want to have a little love fest in her honor. She always left me a Valentine, even as an adult. She was thoughtful like that. So come let me tell you about Millie and maybe you’ll be inspired to share something about someone you love in your life and who you’d like to tell us about…in story, song, a poem or simple joke or photograph. Think of this as a show and tell about love.

We could certainly all use some more of that.

Thank to my friend Toots who always told me I needed to share some stories about Millie!
