It was 3 years ago around this very same time when we opened our brick and mortar shop at 4604 N. Western Avenue. Nomadic Ant had been around for over a decade before that time but the Lincoln Square store was a new start for our business and we have had three great years so far. We really owe it to all of our loyal customers and friends who have supported us over the years. Not to mention, the other “ants” who have kept this place going when yours truly has wandered off for some adventure. We have a great group of people that make this place what it is, and want to say thanks and celebrate them as well on NOV 30.

As for our customers- you are the ones who would seek us out at crowded, sticky summer festivals year after year and find us at hidden pop-ups in Ravenswood, (remember that cool loft space that once belonged to our pals at SomeoddPilot?  You are the ones that visit the shop, leave us so many kind reviews, and when you move out of Chicago { we are sad } continue to support us online. We can’t say enough about how much we appreciate the love.

We should also mention our amazing building management team who make sure we always have whatever we need and for all the work they do to keep this building in tip-top shape for us! You all are like family and we appreciate your support! To Bill, who comes by bike every Thursday to wash the windows, and to all the folks who live in this building who keep an eye on things for us and come to our events – thanks for welcoming us over the years to this great space! We really are lucky to be here with all of you as neighbors!

On Thursday, NOV 30 we will celebrate all of you for being a part of this small business! Come celebrate with us from 7-11pm (next door at Esquina) where we will be hosting our usual BYOVinyl night. Feel free to bring records, drinks, whatever ya like. We will have some treats to share as well and will be doing some special events that night to celebrate 3 years in our space.
