December is a crazy month for us at Nomadic Ant. From shows and a busy season at the shop, to fulfilling web orders and scheduling events at Esquina…(not to mention someone loosing her voice in the midst of it all) and needing extra time to scrape snow and ice from the car windows. As magical a time as it is, I admit I get really excited for January and a new year!

We are one of the spaces hosting the Lincoln Square ArtsHop on Friday, January 6 and it will be our last public event in the space until we get back from our winter travels. Well…the last event WE will be at for a while. There will be some big sales on Nomadic Ant jewelry as I purge to make space for a new collection of treasures in 2017.

This will be a night to socialize with local Lincoln Square artists, residents and friends and gaze at beautiful watercolor paintings by Yesica Barrera, our guest artist at the ArtsHop event. Her paintings will sooth your transition into the coming year with their serenity and give you space to contemplate the horizon with a calm optimism.

We also welcome back Lauren Monticello who curates some fine vintage clothing, purses, and shoes for her line, ruth and jean.

Put on your post New Year’s party dress (vintage if ya got it!) and join me in my last bash with the Ant/Esquina crew til spring!
