Nomadic Ant is one of the stops on the Lincoln Square Wine Stroll this Thursday. We always love being part of this event which, as the clever name suggests, involves two of our favorite pastimes: wine and walking. There are various routes wine strollers can choose from, and we hope if you already have tickets, you are on route C which will take you adventurous wine drinkers all the way west to Western Avenue…the Gobi desert of Lincoln Square, the final frontier.
Can you tell we kinda like being out here on the fringes? With a ton of Thai restaurants, Baker Miller and La Catedral as our neighbors, how could we complain?
This year, we thought we would add a little offshoot to this yearly event we will call, “wine for the masses”. Basically, if your budget does not allow you to participate in the more organized wine strolling event, you can still take part in the celebration of the grape in a more sedentary fashion. Join us over at Esquina (it will be cheap but drinkable wine, the kind sometimes seen served from a box). For a small donation of $5, you can have your fill of wine and hang out with us here at the corner of Western and Wilson. Bring some records, a boardgame, deck of cards, art projects… Our space is for the masses this Thursday night…we just wanna hang out with you. 6pm – 11pm or til the wine is gone!
