Carlos Gardel. If you don’t know him, you must! My grandmother back in Colombia tells tales of her and her 2 sisters being serious groupies back in the day. Yeah, he was from Argentina and all, but well known across South America. The three sisters saw him more than once in Medellin and even were known as “las hermanas Gardel” (the Gardel sisters) around town. Sadly, Carlos perished in an airplane crash at the height of his career leaving Medellin on June 24, 1935. A sad day for many. I scored this record in a dusty vinyl shop in the seedy section of Medellin in 2016 and will play it for ya anytime. Just ask!

Grab some vinyl from your favorite record shop and come on by for Lincoln Square’s only BYOVinyl night! We supply a case of cheap beer and a turntable. You show up and hang out with a bunch of other vinyl junkies. Now in year two, vinyl night at the Ant is pretty much the place you wanna be every 3rd Thursday. We play what you bring, or you pick something from our collection. The goal is simple: listen to (and buy) more vinyl!
