Complete Mix Music For Many Minutes

I admit, I’m really into this thing called winter! We usually escape the cold and head for tropical locations when the temperatures drop, but decided to stay in Chicago this year for a couple of different reasons (all good things that came about somewhat unexpectedly). Needless to say, I was worried I was going to fall into a deep funk without the usual travel adventure on the horizon. Not the case! In fact, this first month has been filled with all sorts of new experiences, projects and a new perspective about this season I have been running from for years.

I won’t bore you with details of my daily winter routine, but I am totally into it and feeling better than ever! New environment, new outlook, lots of activities and plans for the future and a realization that winter is when you embark on all the projects that get buried the rest of the year. So, on our first official self-prescribed “snow-day” I decided to dive into a bit of nostalgia: my mixtapes.

The plan is to find all the tracks from my mixtapes and get them into Spotify playlists so I can share them with friends who for reasons I will never fully comprehend, have parted with their cassettes.  In a few cases I wasn’t able to find the actual tracks from the mixtape on Spotify so I added them as secret tracks on my YouTube channel. That is where you will also find a song by Go Figure, a band my friend (and webmaster) William Steffey was in back in the day.

Not sure what you were listening to in high school, but I made this mixtape in 1990 and I gotta say, it stands the test of time!
